Most conversations are two people waiting to speak.
This one isn't.
Deep Listening with Master Yuan — sixty minutes that are entirely yours. You think out loud; someone trained to listen stays with you, without steering, judging, or fixing.

Why listening
Thoughts finish differently when they're spoken to someone who is actually listening. Said out loud, the problem you've been circling for weeks often turns out to be two problems, or a smaller one, or a decision you already made and haven't admitted. Nothing mystical happens in this room — just a condition modern life almost never provides: a full hour of another person's complete attention, with no agenda of their own.
Friends interrupt, worry, and take sides — they love you, which makes them terrible at this. Colleagues have stakes. Family has history.
Deep Listening is the neutral hour: no stakes, no history, no verdict.
What the hour looks like
You talk about whatever is taking up room — a situation, a season of life, something you can't say elsewhere. Master Yuan listens. He will ask a question when a question helps you go further, and reflect back what he's hearing when that's useful. He will not diagnose you, advise you unasked, or fill silences for comfort's sake. Silence is allowed. Some of the most useful minutes are quiet ones.
Nothing to prepare. Come with a full head; that's the only requirement. If you want somewhere to start, the Today card asks one reflective question each day — many people arrive with the one that wouldn't leave them alone.
The chart is optional. This is the one session at Bazi.sg where the metaphysics stays in the drawer unless you ask for it. If you'd like your Bazi chart in the room as a mirror — some people find it gives their situation a vocabulary — say so at booking. Otherwise, no chart, no reading, just the hour.
Who books this
People carrying a decision that isn't ready to be decided — it needs saying first.
Anyone who has plenty of people to talk with and no one neutral to talk to.
Leaders and professionals who spend all day being the listener and have nowhere to put their own thinking.
People between chapters — after an ending, before whatever is next — who don't want advice about it yet.
What this is not
Deep Listening is not therapy, counselling, or a mental-health service, and Master Yuan is not a therapist. It doesn't diagnose or treat anything, and it isn't the right room for a crisis. If you are in persistent distress, or having thoughts of harming yourself, please reach for trained help: Samaritans of Singapore at 1767 (24 hours), or a GP or licensed therapist. A listening hour can sit alongside professional care — it does not replace it.
Why Master Yuan
Trained to listen, not just to speak
Twenty years across media, government and industry taught Master Yuan what most careers teach: how to talk. Coaching certification and a decade of consultations taught the rarer skill — how to stay quiet in a way that helps someone think. The same discipline behind his Bazi practice applies here: hold the whole picture, don't rush the conclusion, let the person in front of you do the knowing.
-
No. It is a listening session — unhurried, confidential attention from a trained listener. There is no diagnosis, no treatment, and no clinical claim. If you're dealing with persistent distress or a mental-health condition, a licensed professional is the right support, and this hour can complement but never replace that. In crisis, call Samaritans of Singapore at 1767 (24 hours).
-
Coaching drives toward a decision — it's active, structured, and ends with next steps. Deep Listening has no destination: the hour follows your thinking wherever it needs to go, and it's complete even if nothing gets "solved." If you arrive wanting listening and discover you want strategy, the next session can be a coaching one.
-
Only if you ask for it, and sparingly then. The working assumption of the hour is that you are the expert on your own situation — the listening is what lets you hear yourself reach your own conclusion.
-
Only if you want it. By default the chart stays out of the room. Some clients like having their chart present as a vocabulary for what they're describing — mention it at booking and Master Yuan will cast it beforehand.
-
Yes, fully. What is said in the hour stays there.
-
No. No goals, no notes, no "topic." People arrive mid-thought and that works fine.
If you want a starting point, the daily reflection question on the homepage Today card is where many begin.
-
Yes — in person in Singapore or by video call worldwide, same price and length. Booking is through the site; payment is by PayNow after confirmation.
-
Then there's silence, and silence is part of the session. Most people find the second thought arrives about a minute after they were sure there wasn't one.
An hour that is entirely yours.
Not sure yet? The Today card asks one reflective question a day, in this room's voice.
If a question ever opens more than it settles, that's what the hour is for.
